The Barcelona coach highlighted the fact it was difficult for the team

Valverde said it was odd playing at an empty Camp Nou

Ernesto Valverde said Barcelona's 3-0 win over Las Palmas behind closed doors was difficult for all concerned.

"The truth is that it was a difficult situation. When we came here we were planning for all outcomes," said Valverde.

"The club tried to call the game off, but it wasn’t possible. The club wanted to make a gesture due to the exceptional situation taking place in Catalonia. It’s a decision taken by the club in a delicate moment for everyone. I know the club wanted to postpone the game, but it was not able to do so.

Dressing room opinion: "We talked about it and it was a decision agreed by the club. The club have taken this decision. It's more of an impact to see Camp Nou empty than for the game not to be played."

"Regrettably for me I come from a place where there have been similar situations (Basque Country). We hoped that the day would pass in a calm manner, but it hasn’t been the case. We hope things can be sorted out, but I’m not a politician. I don’t know about this."

Iniesta: "He has problems, he noted something in the bottom part of the hamstring, we have to wait for the tests."
