The Barça manager did not want to reveal if Dembélé would start on Saturday
He said it was not surprising that the player had been taken aback by the attention after his move
Ernesto Valverde refused to say whether Barça’s record signing would start on Saturday against Espanyol. “I’m not going to say if I know whether Dembélé will start or not. I don’t know the Espanyol team,” Valverde said.
“It has been good for Dembélé to be here for these last few days. Little by little he’s relaxing and is more involved. I think he’s ready, but he looks better every day to me,” Valverde said on the Frenchman, who commented that it is normal that the media storm has left the 20-year-old in shock during his first days at Barça.
