Valencia defender Joao Cancelo is on Barcelona's shortlist of potential signings for next season. In Valencia they even say it's a given that he will sign for the Catalan club when the season ends.
However, according to Thursday's edition of Superdeporte, there's concern about the Cancelo situation at Valencia. The newspaper says the lack of minutes he's playing could reduce the desire of clubs to sign him -- and therefore his price would go down. It's a situation Valencia don't like because they expected to sell him, but at a higher price. For Valencia it will be key in order for them to sign players.
Therefore, it's expected Cancelo will play more, but it will also be necessary for him and Valencia to play well, something which has tailed off under Voro recently. Los Che are lining up Alaves' Kiko Femenia, once of Barcelona, as Cancelo's replacement.
