Valencia put pressure on Munir to choose them over Celta Vigo

Munir El Haddadi's future looked set to be destined for Celta Vigo on a season-long loan but the move has been made complicated in the past hours by Valencia.

Los Che are offering a much better deal for the Barcelona forward even though the deal is permanent and would include a repurchase option for the Catalan club.

From Munir's point of view, the 20-year-old prefers to go to Celta in which other players like team-mate Rafinha have succeeded with before returning to the Camp Nou. In any case, the decision is open and Celta expect Munir to make a decision by Sunday. Otherwise, Serbian playmaker Aleksandar Katai will be signed instead from Red Star Belgrade.

Valencia sporting director, Suso Garcia Pitarch, sent his club's proposal to Munir's agent and spoke with Barça to finalise the deal if the player gave his approval.

The reality, however, is that Munir has already verbally committed to Celta via a telephone call with coach Eduardo Berizzo, who promised the youngster game time and explained the reasons why he wants to sign him. Los Che's interest has been delayed and Munir and those close to him are hesitating because the conditions on the table are very tempting.

The Spain international will almost certainly be summoned for Barça's game against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday before making his decision. Barça have given him freedom but have clearly given preference to Valencia as relations between the two clubs are very good at this moment.
