UOL Esporte: Neymar has recommended Coutinho to Barcelona
Reports in Brazil say the Barça star wants the club to make a move for the Liverpool man
Barcelona star Neymar has recommended that the club sign his friend and Brazil team-mate Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool.
According to UOL Esporte, Neymar has spoken with Coutinho about the possibility of signing for Barça one day, while, according to the same report, people in his entourage have also confirmed that the 24-year-old has recommended that the Catalan club make a move for the Liverpool man.
Neymar’s given good reports on Coutinho to Barça to the point of suggesting his signing. However, the operation, at the moment, seems difficult. Barcelona have followed Coutinho’s development. They’ve done so for a while and still do now, but they have not began talks over a transfer.
One of the many inconveniences from Barça’s point of view is Liverpool’s posture on the matter. Coutinho has a contract until 2020 and they can demand what fee they want as there is no release clause. For now, it’s just Neymar’s desire to see Coutinho at Camp Nou.
