The management of Andres Iniesta's contract renewal has not only annoyed the player's people, but also is causing unrest among the rest of the squad, who expected better treatement towards their team-mate.
The Barça dressing room does not understand the need for the controversy which has been created on the back of Josep Maria Bartomeu's comments.
Bartomeu, Barça's president, said there is "an agreement in principle" for Iniesta to extend his stay at Camp Nou -- his current terms expire next summer.
However, the player himself has since denied there is any such agreement.
Iniesta says he is "happy" at Barça but has not committed his future to the club yet, saying most recently that his "heart, head and body" will make a decision.
