Umtiti's challenge to Mina ahead of France against Colombia
The two Barça defenders will face each other at the Stade de France
Colombia defender Yerry Mina will come face-to-face with three Barcelona teammates when his country takes on France this Friday at the Stade de France. Samuel Umtiti, Lucas Digne and Ousmane Dembele are all in Les Bleus squad.
Therefore, four Barça players could take part in the game and one of them, Umtiti, has given Mina a challenge.
Mina revealed that Umtiti told him Colombia would not beat France: "This is a battle. He told me that it was impossible for the Colombian national team to win in Europe!"
Aside from the jokes with Umtiti, in a more serious manner, Mina said that he's working hard to earn a place in the Barça and Colombia sides, despite the competition for places.
"I am working hard, but I am relaxed and happy, waiting for my moment," he added. "I have to be ready. Little by little I am learning from my teammates. I have three great players next to me (Pique, Umtiti, Vermaelen) who I am learning from every day."
Mina confessed that he's calm and that he has Ernesto Valverde's confidence: "The coach has spoken with me, he's given me peace of mind. He's said that I have to keep working and that's key because I feel supported."
