Umtiti: It's a pleasure to train every day with Messi, Suarez & Neymar

Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti gave a press conference on Tuesday ahead of France’s game against Sweden in World Cup qualification. 

The centre-back spoke about his exceptional moment of form and highlighted that it’s a pleasure to play with Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez. 

“It’s incredible to play with Messi, Neymar and Suarez. It’s a pleasure to train with them everyday. They’re exceptional,” Umtiti said. 

The French international also spoke about the warm welcome he’s received from Barça fans, which is a result of his speedy adaption to life at Camp Nou. 

“I try to stay natural,” he added. “The most important thing is to continue being effective for the team. 

“And that’s not easy because Barça play completely differently to Lyon. To adapt quickly, you have to watch videos and I’m adapting to their style of play. 

“It’s surprised me that the fans have given me an ovation in so many games.”

As well as his team-mates, he also praised the club: “At Barcelona they take care of everything. You only have to maintain your focus on the pitch. 

“It’s what has made the club have so much success and be able to maintain their level. I’m really happy to be there.”
