Umtiti option does not convince Barça boss Luis Enrique

Samuel Umtiti is on Robert Fernandez's list as a possible solution to fill the void in defence left by the existing lack of quality in that line of the team, and exacerbated by Marc Bartra's departure.

The name of the Cameroonian, who is a French national, was offered by Eric Abidal, a person seen with some distrust within the club as he positioned himself against Josep Maria Bartomeu in the last election campaign.

Despite that, the main obstacle for the signing to be completed is not the president or technical secretary. The person most hesitant about the deal is Luis Enrique, who has seen the player performing several times and whose play does not yet convince the Barça boss.

The manager does not believe that the player adapts well to the team's need and is not in favour of his incorporation. It is for this reason that the Umtiti signing has lost momentum in the past few days.
