Two yellow cards for Neymar... which could cost him more than one game

The referee's report reveals he was sent off for two yellow cards

...but he could get an extra ban for applauding the decision sarcastically

Television images did not make it clear wahat happened with Neymar. Was it two yellow cards or a straight red? Until the referee's report came out, no-one was 100 percent sure.

However, the report cleared things up: "In the 27th minute, the player (11) Neymar Da Silva Santos J was booked for the following motive: not respecting the rules in allowing the opposition to execute a free-kick.

"In the 65th minute, the player (11) Neymar Da Silva Santos J was booked for the following motive: Fouling an opposition player while disputing the ball. Therfore, in the 65th minute, Neymar Da Silva Santos J was sent off for two booking."

That would lead to a one game ban, but there's bad news. In 'other incidents' Jesus Gil Manzano made reference to Neymar's behavious after being sent off.

He added: “The player Neymar Da Silva Santos J, after being sent off, when he was entering the tunnel, and [sarcastically] applauded the fourth official."

That could be dangerous. He will miss one game for sure with a second yellow card and depending on the Competition Committee, he could miss one or even two more games. And that means he could miss Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

One precedent, from 2012, was Valencia's Sofiane Feghouli, who sarcastically applauded after picking up two yellow cards against Real Zaragoza and was given a three game ban. One game for the red card, two for the reaction.
