He is an alternative to Kevin Strootman, another of Juve's targets

The transfer will be more likely if Seri joins Barça

It’s nothing new. There have been rumours about André Gomes’ future all summer and Juventus have been one of the clubs consistently linked with the player. Barça have consistently said the player is not for sale but, as they say, where there’s smoke…

This morning, the Italian paper Tuttosport has reported that the Portuguese is still a target for Juventus. According to the report, Juve are looking for a central midfielder and Gomes is one of the options. While Roma’s Kevin Strootman is another player Juve are looking at.

According to the paper, Gomes will be more likely to leave Barça if Barça sign the Nice midfielder Jean Michaël Seri. Barça have a surfeit of central midfielders and the arrival of Seri would only add to the problem. The departure of Gomes could help in this regard.
