Reports claim the Catalan club want the Italian defender

However, Juve will not want to sell one of their best players

Barcelona are interested in Juventus and Italy defender Leonardo Bonucci, accordign to reports in Italian newspaper 'Tuttosport'.

The Catalan club have initiated preliminary contact even though they are aware that Juve aren't ready to sell, in principle, one of the key parts of their defensive structure.

Bonucci, 30, could be interested in trying a different league and taking on a new challenge -- he's also been linked with a reunion with former boss Antonio Conte at Chelsea -- but with a contract until 2021, any interested party would have to negotiate with Juve.

The Italian international has also been linked with other Premier League clubs in the past, as well as Real Madrid.

However, Juve are a big club an he's never felt compelled to leave them; whether that would change now is unlikely and Barça's priorities lie elsewhere.
