Kylian Mbappe has become the target for the sporting directors of the biggest club’s in Europe to try and sign this summer. The talented Monaco youngster, at 18, is beating records set by the person he is often compared to, Thierry Henry, a legend of French football who also  came from the Monaco youth academy.

His latest achievements in Europe, helping eliminate Man City from the Champions League and send his team through, have earned him even more attention.

In public vice-president of Monaco, Vadim Vasilyec, says that the team will fight to keep Mbappe at the club. But in private he accepts that the forward may have to leave, but they will make a lot of money from his sale.

“We want Kylian to stay. He’s a product of our cantera, he has Monaco DNA, we are proud of how bright he is shining. We have started conversations to renew his contract, but I can’t guarantee he will stay at Monaco,” he told RMC.

Mbappe has 19 goals and 11 assists for the Ligue 1 leaders from 32 games. That is why he is such a wanted man. Man City made a move for him before but Monaco did not appreciate their 40m euro offer.

PSG too, had a 70m move rebuffed and are considering moving to 90m. According to El Partidazo on Cadena COPE, Man United are considering a move which could be worth 110m. And Monaco want 150m!

Arsene Wenger of Arsenal said Mbappe “could be another Henry”. Barcelona are following the action but are aware of the terrible competition they will have for the forward.
