FC Barcelona blast Tebas, LFP and want sport court involved

The club condemned the president of La Liga and say they have no further confidence in him

Barcelona are not going to take Javier Tebas' grave accusations at their players lying down after they were hit by objects thrown by fans at Mestalla. Barcelona released a statement saying the president of La Liga's comments were "abusive and reproachable".

This is Barcelona's statement in full:

"FC Barcelona deamnds that the Administrative Tribunal of Sport (TAD) opens disciplinary proceedings against Javier Tebas, president of the Professional Football League (LFP) and against the members of the RFEF's competition committee, for their unacceptable comments and judgements about the Barcelona players' behaviour when they were assaulted during the game on Saturday against Valencia at Mestalla.

"For this, following the established procedure, the club makes both cases known officially to Miguel Cardenal, the secretary of state for sport, and president of the Superior Council of Sports (CSD) to be transferred to the TAD, which is the body that should take the decision over the denounced facts.

"At the same time, Barcelona condemns Javier Tebas publicly and have no further confidence in him from this time."
