Thiago's message to Messi before he leaves home

Lionel Messi, the world’s best football player, showed he is also a proud father to Thiago, who was born on November 2, 2012. 

Thiago, like his brother, Matias, has become one of the pillars of the Barcelona star’s life. And on Monday, Messi dedicated his award for being the best player in La Liga 2014-15 to his first born. 

He also mentioned his team-mates and family when accepting the trophy, but he mainly took advantage of the moment to reveal how Thiago reacts when the Argentine forward goes to work. 

“Even though he still doesn’t understand much, I want to dedicate this prize to Thiago,” Messi said.

“Whenever I leave the house he gets angry and he says: ‘Dad, are you doing to the goal again?’ I tell him: ‘Yes, son, I’m going to the goal again!’”
