The refereeing body are trying to punish Pique because of his claims after the Athletic game when he said "we know how this works", referring to Fernandez Borbalan not giving Barcelona a penalty for a clear foul on Neymar.
The CTA (Technical Committee of Referees) presented this first denouncement before the Judge of the Copa del Rey, Francisco Rubio.
The second denouncement was presented before the RFEF appeal committee, who take charge of everything that happen n La Liga. Pique's phrase which upset them here was "each week the referees prove me more right". The appeal committee is formed by RFEF lawyer Francisco Rubio, Liga lawyer Lucas Osorio and a third party, Pablo Mayor.
