The reasons Dani Alves will say goodbye to Barcelona

Dani Alves has brought an end to his time at Barcelona. The Brazilian considers that his spell with the club has ran its course, he's weary of all the controversy and the lack of support he has received. For once, and it seems incredible, money is not decisive.

1. Absurd controversies. Alves does not want any more battles. In recent months, he's been embroiled in all kinds of conflicts, be that sporting or personal, in which he has had to justify his character and his way of life. Things which have chipped away and led him to say enough. The Brazilian feels misunderstood in many of his decisions.

2. No institutional relationship. Dani and the board have been moving in different ways for a few years. His recent renewal was not without criticism and nothing has changed since then.

3. An ambitious project. The Brazilian has always shown a desire for taking on a new adventure in competitive football. Despite being 33, he feels he still has enough to compete at an elite level for several more seasons. The offer from Juventus fits in with those thoughts: good money, three years long and, most importantly, with a team capable of competing for every competition they take part in.
