The reason Juventus' Dybala rejected a lucrative offer from Barça

Paulo Dybala rejected a move to Barça in order to continue his development with Juventus, according to his agent Gustavo Mascardi.

Mascardi - speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport - confirmed that the Blaugrana were interested in signing the 22-year-old and provided details of the offer that was put on the table.

"The [transfer] market can always offer many temptations, but Paulo has shown to have clear intentions," he said, "It's true that in recent months, Barça made a proposal to him with an offer that was double what Juventus paid for him.

"However, the player believes that, above all, the most important thing is to consolidate his experience with Juve, who're providing the opportunity for him to succeed at the highest level."

The Bianconeri spent around 40 million euros to acquire Dybala from Palermo (32 million plus variables), so Barça's offer could've been in the region of 80 million if his agent's words are anything to go by.
