The other Colombian on Barça's agenda: Ajax's Davinson Sanchez
A deal to sign the centre-back fell through in the summer but the club are still interested
Barcelona don’t stop and continue to scour the market in order to be able to recruit in the most effective way when possible. The club have various players in mind for the future.
Some of those players has been followed for a while, although that doesn’t mean they will necessarily sign them. They’re players who stand out and are monitored with regards to a potential transfer.
Among those players being continually watched is Colombian defender Yerry Mina, a player that could agree a deal with the Catalan club, who have an option to sign him from Palmeiras, after he rejected interest from Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
But Mina is not the only Colombian on Barça’s agenda to add depth and youth in defence. Another option is Davinson Sanchez, a player who’s impressed with Ajax Amsterdam. A player who has been in Barça’s plans for a while.
Davinson Sanchez is on the list of potential signings for the future thanks to the reports which have arrived from the club’s scouts spread across the world.
