The Munir El Haddadi loan deal to Valencia explained

Munir El Haddadi will play on loan next season at Valencia. Although official confirmation has not been made, the three parties in the operation have agreed the principle details of the move.

Although the player has a verbal agreement with Celta Vigo to play next season there, negotiations between Barcelona and Valencia for Paco Alcacer have obliged the player to change his plans.

Valencian media Plaza Deportiva said on Saturday that the player's agent Francisco Valdivieso met on Friday afternoon with Valencia's sporting director Suso Garcia Pitarch. He convinced the agent that Mestalla would be a beneficial option for the player.

The idea is Valencia pay his wages while on loan and then have an option to buy at the end of the season, but Barcelona would have the final word.

Valencia's initial idea was to buy the player and give Barcelona a re-buy clause, but in the end they opted for a loan.

Munir's deal is not technically linked to the Alcacer move, but he is a player Pako Ayestaran needs to fill the gap.
