Barcelona have confirmed that Andres Iniesta’s knee injury will sideline him for around six to eight weeks. 

The club captain could return for the Clasico against Real Madrid if he recovers quickly, but he will miss a host of games in the meantime. 

Here are the matches he will be absent for:

Granada (H) La Liga Oct. 29

Man City (A) Champions League Nov. 1

Sevilla (A) La Liga Nov. 6

Malaga (A) La Liga Nov. 19

Celtic (A) Champions League Nov. 23

Real Sociedad (A) La Liga Nov. 27

Hercules (A) Copa del Rey Nov. 30 

SIX WEEK MARK

Real Madrid (H) La Liga Dec. 3 

Borussia Monchengladbach (H) Champions League, Dec 6

SEVEN WEEK MARK 

Osasuna (H) La Liga Dec. 11 

EIGHT WEEK MARK 

Espanyol (A) La Liga Dec. 18

Hercules (H) Copa del Rey Dec. 21

If Iniesta misses them all, he will be out for 14 matches. The first game of 2017 is then against Villarreal, when he should definitely be back.
