Andres Iniesta's contract renewal is done. The Barcelona captain's continuity at the club was confirmed at an event last week, shortly after he'd signed the new terms. It's lifetime contract, the first in the club's history, and could serve as a precedent for other special cases.
However, little is known of the details that make up Iniesta's contract. It's known that year after year, he will be the one who can break the contract unilaterally. When that happens, he will receive a bonus, as Xavi Hernandez did before leaving for Qatar.
Radio station RAC1 has revealed now the date Iniesta must inform Barcelona of his desire to continue or not at the club each season. The date is April 30. If he says nothing by then, it means to say that he will continue for another year. Therefore, year after year, Iniesta will have to weigh up his future.
