Luis Enrique's assistant is set to follow the coach out of the door at Camp Nou
He was on the list of potential replacements for the Asturian but Valverde pipped him
Juan Carlos Unzue, Barcelona's assistant coach, will also leave the club when Luis Enrique does. Unzue, who was considered an option to replace the Asturian will look for a new option away from Camp Nou.
For that reason the Copa del Rey final on Saturday was special for Unzue too. It was his last game at the club and his final title after three successful years. Unzue will take on a new job - he is wanted by Celta Vigo - and will leave with something special.
He bid the squad goodbye on the return from Barcelona and they signed a ball from the Copa del Rey final for him to remember them by. A nice memory to take with him as he leaves Camp Nou.
