The FIFA virus strikes! Barcelona players head off round the world for internationals

The first FIFA internationals of the 2015/2016 season is here and, as always, it leaves the Ciudad Deportiva Joan Gamper of FC Barcelona very quiet. All club representatives are already with their national teams. A total of 14 players (including Arda Turan and one from Barclona B) have joined up with nine national teams.

FC Barcelona return to work on Tuesday September 1 at 11 am (there will be no press conference) and Luis Enrique will have ten players, three of them recovering from their injuries (Douglas, Dani Alves and Adriano) and seven possible to train with (Luis Suarez, Claudio Bravo, Sandro Ramirez, Sergi Roberto, Jeremy Mathieu, Aleix Vidal and Jordi Masip).

The 'FIFA virus' has struck again, although it would have been worse if Bravo, summoned by Chile, had decided not to play a friendly against Paraguay (in Santiago) for personal reasons. Likewise, Uruguay would call up Luis Suarez for friendlies against Panama and Costa Riva, but the striker remains suspended by FIFA following his bite on Chiellini at the Brazil World Cup in 2014.

The exodus of players from FC Barcelona and their fixtures with their national teams is shown on this map:
