The 'dig' made by Robert Fernandez to those that rejected Barça

Robert Fernandez, FC Barcelona's technical secretary, did not want to delve into the names of the club's current targets to strengthen the forward line.

However, he did have some thinly-veiled criticism for those attackers that have opted against joining Barça.

When asked if he understood the decisions of the likes of Luciano Vietto, Kevin Gameiro, Hatem Ben Arfa or Moussa Dembele, Robert gave a clear answer:

"Of course I would have said 'yes' to Barça, without doubting, and if I had a son who was a footballer in this situation, I would advise him to day 'yes'.

"I would tell him it is a mistake to not come to Barça, but that is my opinion."

During the press conference as part of Andre Gomes' presentation as a new Barcelona player, Robert explained his stance:

"You have to listen to what you have in front of you.

"You would learn a lot (at Barça), you will get opportunities. You have to be prepared to learn.

"If you are humble and alert, sooner or later you will get your chance."

The Catalan club continue to scour the market for a forward that possesses the qualities they are looking for, and who will accept the challenge of competing with Leo Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar for a place in the team.
