As the big boys returned to training on Thursday, with others still to come back, several of the Barcelona B players who had been training with the first team became surplus to Luis Enrique's requirements.

However, others will continue to train under Enrique's eye for the time being. In fact, there are eight youngsters whom have impressed the new Barça boss since pre-season got underway earlied this month.

And those eight will travel to England with the Blaugrana for the next stage of the club's preparations ahead of the new season.

Among them is young Croatian Alen Halilovic, who impressed in the first half of Barça's 1-0 win over Recreativo de Huelva last weekend.

Bright things are expected from him, and his ascent could be quicker than many have predicted.

Three forwards are among the eight players - Adama Traore, Sandro Ramirez and Munir El Haddadi - while, alongside Halilovic, Sergi Samper is the only other midfielder.

The defenders who will continue to train with the first team are Alejandro Grimaldo, Edgar le and Patric Gabarron.
