Barcelona dressing room is very annoyed with CEO Oscar Grau

The players are not happy with comments Grau made on Wednesday about Messi and Pique

The Barcelona dressing room feel that CEO Oscar Grau overstepped the mark with his comments about Lionel Messi's contract situation and his take on Gerard Pique's recent complaints about referees.

Remember that Grau said that Barça's priority is to renew Messi's deal but they have to maintain a cool head and not lose common sense. Those words drew a public response from Luis Suarez, who said: "You have to renew Messi's contract, not have common sense."

Messi showed his anger and it's worth remembering that he doesn't usually speak, but when he is annoyed and he does speak it can have consequences.

Remember what happened with Javier Faus,  who said in 2013 that he saw no reason why Barca should improve "this gentleman’s" contract "every six months."

Messi replied by saying Faus "knows nothing about football." By the time elections came around in 2015, Faus was not part of Josep Maria Bartomeu's team after deciding to leave the club.

Grau's comments about Pique also have caused concern among the players. "We've spoke with the captains and with Pique and explained the club's will, which is to not talk about referees," he said.

They're words which have not been well received by the Barça squad, especially Pique.
