The 32 refereeing decisions which have gone in Madrid's favour this season

Los Blancos have benefitted from a number of decisions in each competition they're competing in

Real Madrid lead the way in La Liga, one point clear of Sevilla and two ahead of FC Barcelona, thanks in part to the help they have had from officials so far this season.

Los Blancos, who also have a game in hand against Valencia (postponed due to the Club World Cup) have benefitted from errors in 13 of their 18 league games to date.

It's also happened in the Copa del Rey and even in European competitions, such as the European Super Cup, the Club World Cup and the Champions League. In total they've received 32 favourable decisions. Coincidence?

Here is an exhaustive look at all the decisions which have favoured Madrid in 2016-2017, competition by competition.

Of course not all have had a direct impact on results, but it shows this season's trend: if in doubt, the referees whistle in favour of Zinedine Zidane's side.
