Terrorism threat the reason Galatasaray failed in move for Aleix Vidal

The right-back's future is uncertain and he may leave Barcelona during the transfer window

Aleix Vidal still does not have a place in Luis Enrique's plans and his future could be away from Barcelona given the January transfer window is now open.

But he will not be moving to Galatasaray -- or to any other Turkish club. The Istanbul-based side made contact with Vidal to discuss a loan move, but talks quickly broke down. The problem was the current terrorism threat in the country, with Vidal reluctant to move given the recent attacks across the last year.

Galatasasray director Levent Nazifoglu admitted as much. "The terrorism [threat] affected the negotiations with Vidal," he explained. And according to 'Sportx' he's not the only player to turn down the club for that reason.

Vidal's situation is complicated and it doesn't look like improving. However, he may not leave this month is Luis Enrique is unable to bring in another right-back -- be that short-term or long-term.
