Ter Stegen has let in half the goals he conceded last year

It's certain that during his holidays, Marc-Andre ter Stegen didn't imagine coming back to Barcelona and letting in eight goals in his first two games. The goalkeeper shipped four against Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup and then four against Athletic Club in the Spanish Super Cup.

Of these right goals, only one, Mikel San Jose's goal from the half-way line after a poor header by the goalkeeper, was strictly his fault. For the other seven he was sold short by defensive errors.

Barcelona's goalkeeper had a spectacular first season, defending the net in the Champions League and Copa del Rey.

In these competitions he let in 16 goals, 11 in the Champions League, five in the Copa del Rey. Double the number he conceded in these two matches, the first official games of the season.

We have to see if Luis Enrique will keep his confidence in the German ahead of the second leg of the Spanish Super Cup final, on Monday at the Camp Nou.
