Suspect package caused concern during Barcelona's game against Celtic

There were some tense moments during the Champions League game between Barcelona and Celtic after security guards found a suspicious package abandoned. After exhaustive analysis, it was confirmed that the object was nothing more than a lost bag and did not contain any type of explosives.

The incident took place during the first half of the match between gates 33 and 37. The club's internal security team detected a suspicious object and quickly got in contact with the emergency services to request a bomb-disposal team come and check it out at Camp Nou.

For more than 15 minutes, the gates were blocked and anyone who wanted to get out via the affected area was diverted. After a number of examinations, the alarms were lowered and the area was allowed back to normal with the most discretion possible.

These types of threat are not normal during Barça games. Sources from the club confirmed that the safety protocol was activated and that eveything was done while trying to avoid any type of alarm being raised among the supporters inside the ground.
