Superdeporte: Barça will turn to Diego Alves if Bravo or Ter Stegen leave

Goalkeeper Diego Alves, who plays for Valencia, has been linked with Barcelona. The Brazilian was interesting the club in the past and now, according to Superdeporte, is once again on their agenda.

According to the report in the Valencia-based newspaper, Valencia and Alves, who also has offers from Greece, are waiting to see what happens with regards to goalkeepers at Barcelona this summer. Alves is one of the options for the Catalan club in the case that either Claudio Bravo or Marc-Andre ter Stegen, linked with Manchester City on Sunday, leave the club.

Alves, who played in the Copa America this summer, is expected back in Valencia this week to speak about his future. Valencia are contemplating letting him leave. He has a contract until 2019, although sources close to the player say he could leave if a superior offer arrives in terms of a sporting project and finances.

It remains to be seen if Barcelona could comply with both those wishes if they find themselves needing a goalkeeper.
