Suarez: "They've asked about the bite 38,000 times - no more"

Luis Suarez insists that his image as an aggressive player is not a reflection of who he really is.

The Barcelona forward spoke about the incidents which have tarred his carrer in an interview with 'The Guardian'.

"Suarez that goes on the pitch is not the same as the Suarez off it," he said.

"Away from the pitch I am a calm person, a father and a husband. On the pitch sometimes things have happened, but I don't see myself like many people do."

He went on to recognise that he was at fault for the three biting incidents, but he still fights the claimes he racially abused Patrice Evra.

By the end of the interview, however, the Uruguayan was clearly annoyed by the persistent nature of the interviewer.

"They've asked me 38,000 times about the bite," Suarez complained to his agent.

"Never again. This is the last."

He then appeared to take off his microphone and the interveiw ended there.

British newspaper 'The Guardian' published the interview as a prelude to the serialisation of Suarez's autobiography.
