The Uruguayan scored twice as Barça beat Leganes 3-0

He was on his longest dry spell since joining the club in 2014

Luis Suarez, who went 478 minutes without a goal, showed once again that he's a reliable front man with two goals in Barcelona's 3-0 win at Leganes on Saturday.

But the Uruguayan took the focus away from his dry spell, saying the important thing was to help the team.

"I wasn't anxious," he said after the game. "The important thing was to feel good again and help the team win. And the goals have served to help the team win the game today."

Asked about the problems Barça encountered at Leganes, despite the win, Suarez added: "Each game has its difficulties. We knew how the game was going to go, the important thing was to win. We try to play well, but it's not always possible. We have to get used to that."

Despite the three points, a yellow card earned by defender Gerard Pique will see him miss next week's trip to second-placed Valencia.

"It's a big miss because Pique's at a great level," Suarez said. "But there will be another teammate to come in who will also try to do well. What we have to do is stay on the same path."
