Spurs and Arsenal want Sandro and Samper

Tottenham want Sandro Ramirez and Arsenal want Sergi Samper. The two English clubs are in contact with Barcelona to talk about what it will take to sign the two players who came through La Masia. Sandro is Mauricio Pochettino’s preferred option to strengthen his team in January.

Spurs are in the final push for Sandro, who it is understood will be allowed to leave Barça in January. The London-based club have spoke with footballer themselves and have offered him a four-and-a-half-year contract. They are now waiting for the OK from the player. However, the deal could get complicated. The English side are not ready to include any buyback option in the deal because they believe they would be paying a significant amount of money which should allow them 100 percent of the player’s rights.

Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal, who are familiar with Barcelona’s academy, once again hope to lure Samper, a player who has occasionally been included in the first team this season by Luis Enrique. Arsenal, Barça’s next opponents in the Champions League, would be ready to pay six million euros for the midfielder - his release clause is 12 million euros.

In the case that Barcelona sell both these players, they could bring in around 20 million euros in January, a number which would increase the club’s income for the year while also reducing the overall squad salary.
