SportBild: Barcelona made offer for one of Bayern Munich's young stars
Timothy Tillman has emerged as a transfer target for the Catalan side
Barcelona made a move for young Bayern Munich star Timothy Tillman, according to the player's agent Christian Rossner.
The 18-year-old midfielder has impressed in the German club's youth teams since joining from Greuther Fürth one year ago.
"There was an offer from Barcelona," Rossner told Sport Bild. "They've observed him for months and they wanted to sign him for next season.
"Barca's plan was to let him train with the first team and give him match practice in the second team. In two or three years he would have become a full part of the first team."
That's a similar plan to one currently being followed by Marlon Santos and soon to be followed by January signing Santiago Bueno.
However, Rossner also revealed that Bayern president Uli Hoeness turned down Barcelona's advances.
He added: "Bayern president Hoeness vetoed it. They are confident Timothy can become a first-team player."
