Bayern plan to hold talks with Lucho this week after sacking Ancelotti

But former Dortmund coach Tuchel remains the top candidate for the job

Former Barcelona coach Luis Enrique is one of the candidates to take over at Bayern Munich, according to the German press.

Luis Enrique could meet with officials from Bayern on Wednesday to talk about filling the vacancy left by Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti last week.

According to Sport1, Bayern plan to meet with Luis Enrique, although it seems it's unlikely they will get a positive response, given he's already said he wants to take a year off.

That would leave ex-Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel in a better position to take on the role.

Meanwhile, Bild report that Bayern have also shown an interest in Louis van Gaal, who has already coached the Bavarian club during his long career.

Finally, Sky inform that Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola, who's spending some time in Germany during the international break, met with Uli Hoeness to talk about who could take on the job.
