SPORT Exclusive: The signing of Paco Alcacer has been agreed

FC Barcelona have completed the signing of the Valencia striker Paco Alcacer.

The Blaugrana have reached an agreement with the Valencia owner Peter Lim, as well as the player, for the Spanish international to be the last reinforcement of the 2016/17 season.

The only pending step is for the Mestalla club to resolve their internal conflict and to give the official green light for the deal.

FC Barcelona will pay 30 million euros up front, plus five million euros in bonuses and Alcacer will sign on a five-year deal.

The footballer, who is about to turn 23 (on August 30), accepts the financial offer that Barça are offering (an initial salary of two million euros), and the role of 'luxury substitute' that he will have to assume, as a back-up for Leo Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.

SPORT understands that the Alcacer deal is ready to be signed because everything has been negotiated, according to sources from the FC Barcelona technical secretary department.

"The contract could be concluded in 30 minutes", these same sources have stated, who are awaiting for Valencia to find a solution to their particular institutional crisis to finalise the signing.

FC Barcelona are not in a rush until August 31, because there is no alternative to Paco Alcacer. In the event that the Valencia forward does not come, Munir would stay in the Barcelona squad and would be the fourth forward.
