SPORT confidential: Cillessen injured... out jogging in his free time

The goalkeeper was trying to keep in shape for the Copa game against Athletic at San Mames

It's not normal for a player to get injured during their holidays. What's more normal is that a player gets injured in the first training session back after several days of inactivity.

However, it seems that Jasper Cillessen arrived back at the Ciutat Esportiva limping. Barça confirmed on Friday that he will be out for two weeks with a calf problem

It turns out the Dutch goalkeeper injured himself in a show of professionalism. How so? Well, according to teammates and staffe at Barcelona, he injured his calf while out running on the road during his free time.

The keeper's intention was to keep in shape ahead of the Copa del Rey game against Athletic Club next week, which he was expected to start. However, he ended up injuring himself and will now miss the tie.

The dressing room found it all very funny, so Cillessen has had to put up with plenty of jokes on his return to training.
