Reports in England suggest Barcelona are looking at various options in the case they're unable to do a deal with Arsenal for right-back Hector Belerin, who is currently with Spain U21s at the European Championships in Poland.
One of them, The Guardian say, is Portugal and Southampton full-back Cedric Soares, who is currently taking part in the Confederations Cup in Russia. Barça have reports on Soares dating back to 2015, when he was still playing for Sporting Lisbon. He ended up moving to Southampton for seven million euros, though.
And earlier this year Soares was also an option when Barça were looking for a right-back in January and again when Aleix Vidal picked up a serious ankle injury. Finally, though, the Catalan club decided to wait until the summer before going after a right-back.
Barcelona would have to compete with Tottenham for the Portuguese international. Spurs are set to lose Kyle Walker and need a replacement, although Robert Fernandez's first choice remains Bellerin.
