Digne started playing regularly but has dropped off the radar

The new manager will have to decide who stays and who goes

FC Barcelona’s plans could see some players leave the club on loan, including signings from last summer who have not performed as they hoped for.

They have still not worked out what they will do, but the idea is that those who have not had a lot of minutes at the club will be able to get game-time elsewhere, and in many cases will be too difficult to sell.

This is something they have done to some extent in the past, with Gerard Deulofeu, Cristiano Tello, Alex Song, Munir El Haddadi and Sergi Samper being other first team players dispatched on loan.

In this sense Andre Gomes, Paco Alcacer and Lucas Digne might be among the names who are given loan moves. Among the players who arrived last summer, only Samuel Umtiti has become a regular starter for Barcelona.

The rest have appeared here and there, some doing better than others, but without convincing the technical team and the fans.
