Sevilla ask for Marc Bartra on loan from Barcelona with option to buy

Marc Bartra has the option to leave Barcelona in January. Sevilla have asked to loan him until the end of the season, with an option to buy.

Bartra has not entered much into Luis Enrique's plans, though it seems the coach is reluctant to let him go, despite the defender being his last option at centre-back.

After the injury to Andreolli, Sevilla have decided they need to add to their options at the back.

Bartra is their first chice and they have already spoke to his people, despite having also opened negotiations with Tottenham about bringing back Fazio, who isn't playing much there.

Bartra knows he has few options at Barcelona this season and if he can play regularly it will boost his Euro 2016 chances.

Bartra recently changed agents and signed with Carles Puyol, who thinks that the defender should have a bigger role. Bartra decided to stay this summer, despite being able to leave for €12m, a number which Barcelona saw many clubs willing to offer.

Juventus, Inter and AC Milan would pay that this summer, like Fiorentina, but Sevilla are hoping to get in first and take Bartra on loan with a €12m option to buy in June.
