Seven remain from Barcelona's previous 28 game unbeaten run
Barcelona can overtake their best ever unbeaten run on Wednesday if they avoid defeat against Valencia.
The current best of 28 games was set by Pep Guardiola's side in 2010-11 and was equalled by Luis Enrique's team on Sunday at Levante.
Of Guardiola's squad, only seven players now remain: Dani Alves, Gerard Pique, Andres Iniesta, Lionel Messi, Javier Mascherano, Sergio Busquets and Adriano Correia.
So, five years later, the squad still has seven members of the squad that made history and is now about to make more history, if they can stretch their unbeaten streak to 29 matches.
Barça's run under Guardiola began with a 5-1 win over Panathinaikos in September 2010 and ended with defeat to Real Betis in the Copa del Rey in January, 23 wins and five draws later.
Alves, Pique, Iniesta, Messi, Mascherano and Busquets still form the spine of the side, although Adriano's role in the team has decreased, especially since Jordi Alba arrived.
All of them have played a huge amount of games for Barça and contributed to a lot of success:
