The young Korean has signed for Verona

Lee has left the club after spending seven seasons at La Masia

The Young Korean forward Seung Woo Lee left Barcelona to join the Italian club Hellas Verona and has thanked Barça and the fans in an emotional letter on social media.

Lee, who has been at Barça for seven years and dreamed of playing for the first team, said that “today is a very sad day for me because I never thought it would be time for me to leave FC Barcelona, the club of my life, my home for the last seven years and where I would have liked to have spent all my career”.

The Korean added, “I can’t leave without thanking all the people who have helped me at Barça, especially at the lowest moments, when I couldn’t play due to the FIFA ban”.

Lee remembered to thank everyone: “First of all thanks to Barça for giving me the opportunity to play for such a great club. Thanks also to all the coaches for making me a better player and to the physios, officials, kit men, doctors and all the staff at La Masia for making me a better person. Thanks also to my teammates for giving me so many unforgettable memories. And to the Barça fans, especially to the most loyal who go to the Ciudad Deportivo for the never-ending support over the years”:

“Now I’m far away but I’ll be just another culé. I hope we’ll meet again,” he ended.
