Sergio Busquets: Real Madrid failure against Villarreal won't change our game

"Although now we depend on ourselves, Real Madrid's draw has not changed the way we are thinking. We always to out to win," said Sergio Busquets.

"We know we have to win every game and take advantage when Real Madrid slip up."

Busquets knows that in three gameweeks Barcelona will face off against their arch-rivals at Camp Nou.

"There are still two (Liga) games to play. I do not know if Barca-Madrid will be decisive, but I hope that it is for us. It depends on many things and it's impossible to know now," he said.

Asked about his role in the last few games, and the competition from Javier Mascherano, Busquets says he is still working as normal.

"I don't see any team-mate as a threat," he said. "I intend to work to the maximum each day, and at the end the coach will decide.

Beyond that, things can go for better or worse, but commitment and attitude will never stop," explained the Badia del Valles born midfielder.

Ahead of the Copa del Rey semi-final second leg against Villarreal (Barcelona lead 3-1) Busquets considers the current score a big asset.

"We have an advantage and they will have to change the way they play and come into the game, it will be difficult," he explained.

He did admit that the Yellow Submarine are a good side, saying "they are a team that deserve all my respect, from No 1 to 25, or more."
