Sergio Busquets in discussion with Barcelona over improved contract
Barcelona's defensive midfield bastion Sergio Busquets is in talks over a new contract.
On El Club de la Mitjanit, on Catalunya Radio, they revealed that he wants more money, without a change to the length of his deal, which was agreed and signed in July 2013.
One of the conditions included an improvement to it by this point in time.
He signed a five year deal with an option for one more year, and a buyout clause of €150million.
On August 27, when he put pen to paper, the president of Barcelona at the time, Sandro Rosell, vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu and sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta were there, along with the player's father, Carles Busquets, and agent, Josep Maria Orobitg.
The player has been key for several years now, though this season his form has dipped.
