Sergi Samper may be loaned to Sevilla in Denis Suarez operation

Barcelona are interested in bringing back Denis Suarez from his two season loan spell at Sevilla in the summer but may have to send Sergi Samper the other way.

The agreement over Suarez with Sevilla is clear. The transaction was agreed to lower the cost of the Ivan Rakitic transfer from €20million to €17m last summer, with Sevilla able to purchase the player for €6m at any time.

Barcelona would then have a €9m buy-back clause on top of that, so if they wanted to retrieve the youngster they could.

Suarez has exploded onto the scene as the best newcomer this season and if the club cannot sign players becaue of their FIFA ban, they may look to get Suarez back.

Relations between Sevilla and Barcelona are excellent and they may both work to find a useful solution - including loaning Samper to the Andalusian side.

He is a player that manager Unai Emery loves. The loan would be free, and Adama Traore may also be an additional loan benefit.

All parties are keeping strictly silent about this issue, but we expect it to be resolved in the new year. Denis is hoping to become a Barcelona star.

Samper, meanwhile, is wanted by Sunderland on loan, according to the Daily Mail. Tottenham and Arsenal are also interested.
