Sergi Roberto: I want Manchester City to beat Real Madrid

It’s cost Sergi Roberto a lot to make it in to the team of his dreams, FC Barcelona. He’s still not an undisputed starter, but he is one of the players to have played the most minutes this season. Some fans may like him more than others, but there is one thing no-one can doubt: he’s Barcelona through and through.

And like any other Cule, the midfielder from Reus is clear what he wants to happen in the Champions League semi-final second leg between Manchester City and Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on Wednesday: “Like any other Cule, I want City to win. If they weren’t playing against Real Madrid, I wouldn’t mind who won, but against Madrid… For City to win is what any Barça fan wants; I don’t think it’s a bad thing. They’re the big rival and I think this type of rivalry - wanting them to lose - is normal. We can’t win the Champions League now, so it would be better if they didn't win it.”

These quotes from Sergi Roberto were made to Oscar Fernandez on Catalunya Radio show ‘Catalunya Vesper Esports’ and the full interview will be released in full on ‘Catalunya Migida’.
