Sergi Roberto out of Barça's game with Real Sociedad

Sergi Roberto will miss Barcelona's match with Real Sociedad this weekend. The academy graduate has not recovered from a minor knock to his ankle and will not be named in the squad. FC Barcelona have not released any details yet, but Luis Enrique confirmed the news in his press conference. 

The midfielder, who started against Roma in midweek, had to be taken off after 64 minutes following a clash with the French midfielder William Vainqueur. Despite that, Sergi Roberto's performance until that point had once again shown that he's one of the club's most in-form players. His versatility has allowed him to shine in a number of positions this season. 

Luis Enrique doesn not want to force his return when he is not completely fit. His growing importance to the team in recent months means no risks will be taken with his fitness. After La Real, there is the Copa del Rey match against Villanovense, which he may well sit out as well with one eye on the La Liga match against Valencia the following weekend.
