Sergi Roberto spoke about Messi's 100 goals in European competition and Pique's red

Sergi Roberto spoke to Bein Sports after Barcelona beat Olympiacos 3-1 on Wednesday night.

"We started very strongly and we could score, but we needed to kill the game, they were defending deep, and eventually we did it, we controlled the duel and that was important," he said.

"The team's sensations are very good in these moments. We are leaders in La Liga and in our Champions League group. We are solid at the back although today we let in that goal at the end. But we have to keep working to achieve our objectives."

On Messi, who scored his 100th European goal, Roberto added: "We've run out of words to describe the best player in the history of football. It's a pleasure for everyone to share the dressing room and play with him."

On Pique, he added: "Maybe he was not thinking in that moment that he already had a card. He told me it was instinctive, that he wanted to score and the ball was behind him. In the moment of the game you don't think about other things."
